Zendubind
was established in 1936. Let me tell you a little bit more about
our history and how we got our name.
Where does this strange name -
Zendubind - come from? Many, many years ago there were two
partners Mr Oosthuizen and Mr du Plessis. If you combine the Zen
of Oosthuizen and the du of du Plessis you
get Zendu.
Zendubind was established by the two
partners in 1936. The business was located in Proes Street
Pretoria since 1936 to 1961. In 1962 we moved to our premises at
83 Retief street and we have been doing business from these premises
ever since.
On the 25th of July 1962
Zendubind was registered as a private company. After Mr
Oosthuizen passed away Mr du Plessis became the only member of
Zendubind. His son, Nick, took the reins over after his death and he
has successfully managed the business up until 2010 when he started
sharing the reins with his son, Hansie. Hansie is currently
managing the company on behalf of his father in the aim that he will
one day take over the reins from his father.
We trust that this historical account
of our company will illustrate to you the fact that Zendubind is a
family business with a proven track record that will flourish for many
years to come.
